Firewall Manual And Screen Captures - Manual Proxy Tab
|
The
Proxy Firewall Manual Proxies Tab
After you sign up for an account with another
private proxy service, you will be able to use this manual
proxy tab. It will import other private services http and
socks proxies into the window and you will be able to use
them.

The
Proxy Servers shown in the window above printed with permission
from theproxyconnection.com
HTTPS
& SOCKS
When you click the radio button next to HTTP or SOCKS it will
load the IP list and ports for each protocol. Proxy Firewall
will allow you to select either for any program, but HTTP
proxies should be used for programs such as browsers and web
programs like Internet Explorer, Netscape and FireFox. SOCKS
proxies should be used for TCP programs such as messengers,
telnet, ftp, irc, etc.. This is because http proxies are optimized
with a cache for browsing. They also timeout faster then socks
connections. If you use http proxies for a messenger type
program, it may timeout and close more often then you would
wish it to.
Right Click Menu
When you right click in any of the list tabs Private Proxies,
Open or Manual Proxies, you will get a menu as shown above
with additional options.
Export List
This option will allow you to export the list to a plain text
file.
Save List
This option will save the list to your Proxy Firewall program
directory instead of waiting for a reboot or shutdown. When
you use this option your list would not be lost if your computer
was to crash.
Delete Selected
You can multi select items in your list using your ctrl key
and then choose to delete one or more items in your list.
Shuffle
List
You can choose to shuffle the list in a random order for when
you are rotating lists.
Add Proxies
When you click on the Add Proxies button you can add proxies
by using the import option, or typing in the information one
at a time as shown below.
When you add a group of proxies that all share the same settings,
you can leave this window open as you type in your ip address,
ports and user name and password. For example, type in and
add all of your private socks5 servers from your private providers.
When you are finished, click the Ok button to add them all
to your list. After adding all of your proxy servers from
one provider, you can now start adding proxy servers for the
next provider that use a different user name and password.
Import Proxy Servers
Importing is easy. All you need is a plain text file with
your providers proxy server ip addresses and ports. If you
have a good proxy service, there should be no problem with
them providing you with a plain text file list of their servers.
Just ask them for a list of their HTTP and SOCKS5 proxy servers
in the format of IP:PORT:DESCRIPTION
You will need two lists. One for HTTP and one for SOCKS5.
The text files should be in the format of IP:PORT:DESCRIPTION
as shown below.
The file name can be something like (proxyprovider.txt) IP:PORT:DESCRIPTION
